The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) National Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) is a proven, one-year lifestyle change program for people who are at risk for developing type 2 diabetes. It helps you build healthy habits that lower your chances of getting diabetes and improve your overall well-being.
Led by trained lifestyle coaches, DPP focuses on small, realistic changes that make a big difference. You’ll learn about healthy eating, staying active, handling stress, and staying on track with your goals.
When you join Ampla Health’s Diabetes Prevention Program, you get access to a trained lifestyle coach for a full year! The program starts with 16 weekly group sessions to help you build healthy habits around eating, activity, and stress. After that, you’llcontinue with monthly check-ins for 6 to 8 months to keep your momentum going.
Sessions may be offered in person or online, and you’ll receive helpful tools, printed materials, and encouragement from others in your group every step of the way.
You may benefit from the Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) if:
